Professional standards

James Bradshaw is a registered member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) and operates in accordance with the ANTA Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Professional indemnity and public liability insurance is held through Guild Insurance.

Nature of services

Wellness With James provides clinical remedial massage therapy and related treatments including dry needling, cupping, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, sports massage, lymphatic drainage, relaxation massage, sound healing, hot stone massage, and traditional Thai massage.

These services are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. The services provided do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, provide spinal manipulation, or replace advice from your GP or specialist. If you have a medical condition, you are encouraged to consult your treating doctor alongside receiving massage therapy.

Your responsibilities

Before and during treatment you are responsible for:

Disclosing all relevant health information including medications, medical conditions, injuries, surgeries, and pregnancy
Informing James if your health circumstances change between appointments
Communicating your comfort levels and pain during sessions
Updating your intake information if anything changes

Wellness With James accepts no liability for adverse outcomes arising from information you did not disclose.

Right to decline or discontinue treatment

Wellness With James reserves the right to decline, modify, or discontinue treatment where a contraindication is identified that makes treatment unsafe, the client is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the client behaves in a way that is inappropriate or threatening, or continuing treatment would be outside James's scope of practice. A refund will be provided for any unused portion of the session.

Treatment outcomes

Massage therapy outcomes vary between individuals. Wellness With James cannot guarantee specific results. Factors including your overall health, lifestyle, and compliance with take-home advice all affect outcomes.

Under Australian Consumer Law, our services will be delivered with due care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Booking and payment

Appointments are booked through Cliniko at wellnesswithjames.com.au/book. Payment is due at the time of your appointment. We accept credit card, debit card, and cash. Private health fund rebates are processed on-the-spot via HICAPS — bring your health fund card to your appointment.

Cancellation and rescheduling

More than 24 hours' notice: No charge. You are welcome to reschedule at no cost.
Within 24 hours of your appointment: 50% of the session fee will be charged.
Within 4 hours of your appointment, or no-show: 100% of the session fee will be charged.

Fees are invoiced prior to your next booking or at the time of your rescheduled appointment. Genuine emergencies are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Health fund rebates

Rebate amounts are determined by your individual health fund and level of cover. Wellness With James has no control over rebate amounts and cannot guarantee any particular rebate. Confirm your cover with your health fund before your appointment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Wellness With James limits liability for any loss or damage to the lesser of the cost of the service or $100. Your personal and health information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
